Issac: Typically, we know we need to let somebody go when we spend more time talking about them than working.
Mark: We have a new saying now: "Hire slow and fire fast."
Yeah, really take our time with the guys we're bringing in now - really invest in them, spend time with them. The team that we have in place, we invest in them, help them grow, get to the next level.
Because, if we've done all those things and we still can't get across to this person, then we got to get him out of the way because that means they're causing conflict around the people they're around and the teams they're with.
Issac: There are certain things that you can do that are an immediate fire, no questions asked. I mean, if we catch you stealing, obviously you've got to go. I mean, that's just... Then there are things that they might not even know that they do that just need to be trained and they need to be taught.
But we never really want to fire anybody. I mean, it sounds glamorous to go in and fire somebody but... you're changing somebody's life when you let them go. We always try to, you know, either teach them, coach them, or give them another chance, and another chance, and train them. But we got a rule now.
It just started about two years ago. Typically, we know we need to let somebody go when we spend more time talking about them than working.
